Can you see your zip drive at all or just can't access it? If you don't see it at all, there is a thread just a couple of days ago that worked for me. Basically you have to manually enter the drive in the list and then tell the system to find it. It's a SCSI device on the parallel port. Not a

When I first started using Linux almost a year ago, like everyone else I tried using kppp. I found it generally frustrating and useless, especially trying to configure a PAP script thing that worked. I gave up on that. My only suggestion to others with kppp problems is: dump it and use wvdial.
