try entering a terminal
su to root
type: linuxconf [enter]
click Filesystems
click Access Local Drive
Click on each device that you wish to change permissions for: /dev/fd0, /dev/cdrom,
etc...
click Options
make sure that "user mountable" has a check next to it..

Thanks Charles. I solved the problem by putting all bios settings to default on
my Abit motherboard. Everything installed perfectly.

I fixed it. I reset all the settings on the bios to default. Everything's has
installed with
no problem. A great OS!
