i have a couple of questions if anybody could help me out.
Assuming that a linux machine is hooked up to a network and it obtains an ip
address from a dhcp server where does linux store that ip address that it
obtained? My second question is assuming i want to have linux obtain a
specific

I have recently installed Mandrake 7.1 within a LAN.
I could telnet or X-Win into this new server (from another Windows98 PC) but
so how my telnet connection will be closed by the server (perhaps telnetd)
at some irregular period (from 3- 30 mins after connection is established).

out for a few days I set everything in my bios to default on my Abit

I am using a CD player from Creative. I am wondering if I used the test-mode
install.

When I create a SO 52 document (foo.sdw) in SINGLE SPACE format and then
save it as SO HTML (foo.html), the document produced is in DOUBLE SPACE.
In SO's Options I made sure that Single Space is the default. It is. And

I decided to run always in X mode, but when the computer
