In Linux a file or directory preceeded by a . is hidden ( more or less).
for example if I create a directory in roots home dir called .stuff it
will not show up in a normal ls. If you us ls -al it will and ofcourse mc
will see it too. However if you mount a drive over top of the directory it
will

this should take you to the text mode of network configuration.
you'll have to enter everything in manually, but this should work.

You need to look at/edit the /etc/smb.conf file on the linux box. If you
make a change you will need to re-start the daemon's.
(/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb restart or stop and then start). One thing to watch
for is encrypted passwords. Window likes them. There is some help in
/usr/doc/samba-?.

Uninstalling Apache might not be a bad idea depending on just how
misconfigured it is at the moment. You may find though that uninstalling
and reinstalling would be easier if you were to use kpackage though. Much
easier to use in my experience.

software/hardware. I'm not sure if your video card will support OpenGL. I
know many newer 3D accelerators do (3DFX Voodoo, nVidia TNT2/GEforce,

my ATI card, the sound card (which 7.0 didn't find), my D-Link network card and

SWAP file to the ammount of ram on your system. SInce you got 128 ram you

Thanks for the assistance. I found the SWAT program and with some of the
text changes to the smb.conf file. All is working well - now.
Will have to figure out the NT domain integration stuff later. For now I
