You can add this mounting to your /etc/fstab file.
This will cause Linux to mount windows upon booting.
You need to add the "users" permission to allow users
to mount/umount the drive. I don't remember the exact
syntax (unfortunately, I am in NT right now), but you
will see others in /etc/fstab

Hi folks,
I'm just getting back on the list after being dropped a month ago. I see
that LM 8.0 is out, has good reviews, etc. I'd like to get it.
I purchased a boxed version of the basic LM 7.2 about two months ago.
Does Mandrake/McMillan have any kind of upgrade policy?
TIA.

Hi, all
I have installed Postfix in my machine. It runs perfectly. I also need to give my user
pop3 facility so I have installed QPopper. I have followed the instructions step by
step without any problem. It is still not working.
I have tried "telnet MAILSERVER IP 110" but it seems not working

Quick followup.
I reinstalled the modem to COM5 as described near the end below

Reading the setserial manpage a little closer (something I
probably should have done sooner), I see that the command doesn't

This sounds like a problem with the rpm database, not with the program

How do you setup port redirect on the firewall? Example: you have a firewall

address. But you want people from the internet to access the FTP.

Not sure if anyone has explained the 'why' of this to you yet, so here
goes...
The -R (for 'recursive') option only works on directories, not files or
even file wildcards.
So, if you want to change the directory and all its files and subdirs and
subfiles et al, then use chmod -R 644 /backup/w
