Hi I have a similar problem. I added an extra hd on my machine and therefore changede the primary/secondary, master/slave settings for my dvd/cdrom and cdrw. Now, when I run 'cdrecord -scanbus' it finds my dvd/cdrom and no cdrw?!? The line 'devfs=mount hdc=ide-scsi quiet' is already in my lilo.
