Thank you, Aron. I don't have static IP. However, I
just found a solution for my problem.
I have this problem since I don't have static IP. So I
have to use DHCP. The DHCP will overwrite the
hostname. The solution to this, in case someone needs
this, is using Mandrake Control Center, the network
w
I find mencoder isn't handling AC3 surround sound well.

I am having the same situation! I have disabled ACPI and now at the
final moment i have to push the power button to turn off the computer.
However i don´t have any complaint about this. It is quite normal to do

I am not sure if this is the same problem that I had, although it may be and
if it isn't then this is one possibility. Linux uses hard drives very
precise, Windows doesn't use the hard drive as precise as Linux. I had a
Western Digital hard drive that worked on Windows but didn't work on Linux.

It's a very nice and cool program for burning. It even has DVD burning

tryed all sorts of things. Like different settings in the BIOS.
Installation of Debian, new Harddisk. Everything without luck. According to
him the problem is that the machine are not capable of making DMA.
