I am using Mandrake 7.1 and I'm having a problem with my floppy and Zip drive. My floppy(not my zip) has worked in the past under Redhat 6.0. They both show up now in the mnt directory but show their device as /mnt/zip or /mnt/floppy(which ever) ; I thought this unusual (should be hdc or fd0) but my cdrom is the same way and it works, they are also using a super*** as the file system instead of auto or vfat or ext2 .. When I try some changes it gives me al kinds of errors and still does not work. When I try to use my floppy or zip drive it responds with "Unable to read directory /mnt/zip/ Message from system: Input/output error". Any help would be appreciated. Andy Moore
