Actually someone told me another way sign in as root. Then tpy linuxconf.
Then go to Miscellaneous, then you go to Somethign with system under that
category and then select 5 and it will go to GUI boot up and you can choose
there.

No trouble downloading Windows stuff while on Linux, it's the other way
around!!! I suppose I could doenload, burn to CD-RW and load it into Linux
from there.

I have installed Mandrake 7, and when LILO comes up, and I select Windows,
nothing happens, and the machine locks up. If I boot into Linux, I dont have
any problem reading the data off the Windows partition. Got any ideas?
I have a CD rom and CD RW.. I cannot get a read of the CDRW.
Both Drives are identified correctly, and both have icons on the
desktop.
Any ideas?

I've installed from the PC PLUS cover disc. They did warn to boot from a
floppy as booting from the CD could cause major problems with your Windows
set up...maybe the image file you loaded from has had the same effect

dozen choices. In Windows, I use Arial, but I've tried them all and they

I think the number was in the magazine..check out the website,
www.pcplus.co.uk , they usually keep things like that on there..I installed
a package about 18 months after it was on a cover disc-I phned them up and
they got me sorted, no problem.

Recently I have just installed Linux Mandrake 6.1 onto my system. Everything
works fine till I reboot the system and start Linux.
It went till a certain part of the bootup saying something like "fs for vfat
not supported by kernel".
