If it's on the second IDE channel, it probably needs to be referenced as
hdb1 or so. Check the listing when it boots into Linux, there should be a
couple lines like:
hda1 hda2
hdb1 hdb3
The device listed right before the brackets is the Extended partition, if

I burned an ISO of Mandrake using Easy CD Creator 3.5b and an IDE Ricoh
CDR. Just loaded up EZCD, told it I was creating a CD from Image, and
pointed it at the image. Make sure you tell it to look for an ISO file

little bitty things on my 17-inch monitor (remember when that was a BIG
screen?), so changed it. But, honest, I DID have it set for 1280 for a

Um, I'm running the Creative TNT card at 1280x1024x32 bit. I'm using the
standard package from the 5.3 CD, so nothing new has sullied the mix, and I
just told it I was running a Riva TNT, and it chose this as its favored
res/color depth.
