Is there a way to switch virtual consoles without logging out of x-server.?
I'm starting KDE.
Tried Ctl-Alt-Fn and wound up with all kinds of mess on the console in use.

To all:
what is required to unmount the cdrom.
opened it from the desktop icon.
scanned the directories and closed the window at file-exit.
right click and selecting unmount triggers
KFM error: umount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy
Thought this had worked in the past.

The video card is S3 Virge GX 3d. It works with a SuSE installation.
Copied their driver XF86_S3V to /usr/X11R6/bin/.
How can I persuade LM to recognize this?

The modem reaches my ISP.
The phone dials from Win95 and I can see it ringing on my other line but the
Linux box never answers.
I must be missing some configuration setting but can't determine where.
Isn't PPP/SLIP/PLIP on the Linux box for
riginal long name, so --

Now substitute your drive specifics and names.
No offense intended in assuming limited acquaintance with the system, but it
takes hours to dig out this stuff when you start from scratch.

At paragraph 5.2 Tell the DNS about this
reference is made to "Configure domain name server" menu and 'IP allocation
space".
