If your serious about windows emulation try Vmware. I've played with
the demo and it was very very impressive. As for performance issues you'll
just have to try it and see. But, with VMware what you would really be

The way I know is by trial and error. I have one working on 1 machine.
The problem is I need to get it working on another machine and it absolutely
refuses. But for a $20 card what can I expect?

I have tulip cards too. The best thing I have found to do is after finding a
version that works stick it on a floppy. Then after every install try the version
with the kernel, if that fails copy it over. So far that has worked for every 2.2
kernel for me.
