True...also when you transfer files from windows to LM you have to check the
properties of the file and change it accordingly. For e.g I have a data set
with .xyz extension and LM read it as an executable file so I checked off
the exec in the file properties and the icon changed to a paper styl

Hi:
I'm not so sure if this will work. I was just asking my friend about
installing/uninstalling Lilo.
>From what I've learned to install type 'lilo -i' at the prompt and 'lilo -u'
to uninstall.
don't know though if you can do this w/ the Linux boot disk
Andrew:
Really sorry about this, I mistyped one line in my instructions thus it gave
you the error.
It should be /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14-15mdkfb and not
/boot/vmlinuz-2.2.14-15.mdkfb. There should be no "." between 15 and mdkfb.
I'm a DOS man so I tend to put the "."
ine but don't hold me accountable :) Since we have the same
computer, monitor and video card it should work.
well, good luck to you. I on my part still have to fix some other teething
(gnarling ;>) problems.

Question: In this procedure, should I presume that Linux will not do any

I will start installing once I get this clear.

No problem.
I have the Mandrake 7 Power Pack. 'Guess we are reading different manuals

I think DiskDrake takes care of the partitioning however at this point I
would prefer to use a boot disk to go to Linux.
Thanks for your recommendation.
