I had a problem with my computer hanging too. Try booting from a
floppy made from one of the alternate CD images - try them all. One
of them finally let me boot to the install program.

The standard Mandrake 7.2 installation comes with Quanta, a KDE html editor
on steroids. I had it crash frequently though.

I am running Hawkeye on my mandrake 7.0 server.
When I startup my server everything starts
automatically except Hawkeye. When I go to a
terminal window and type hawkeye it starts right
away and everything works fine.
