rpm and it works. So in theory there is no reason why I can't get Xine

Managed to get updates to work from the terminal using one of the club
mirrors.
Xsane now recognises my scanner after I unpluged it and pluged it back
in again but still does not work. Seems to be seriously broken - its a
HP scanjet 6200C and was working fine under 9.2. The GUI

I am trying desperatly to get my sound card to work under 9.2.
ALSA seems to load OK and I don't get any error messages. I have set up modules.conf

Are you referring to the MLDonkey program or a file you downloaded with it?
If its the MLDonkey program you should be able to start it with the command
"mldonkey". I added a button to the menu with that command.
If its a program you have downloaded with MLDonkey then its in

Kopete are releasing a 0.7.2 version that will use the new MSN protocol.
Looks like I'll have to try and get that to work on all my systems. Bo ho

Oh right. Bugger.
I'll get onto the Kopete list and see what they are going to do about this.
May have to adapt the plugin or something for the new settings.
Seeing as I am not using MSN on a Microsoft machine I can see myself being
able to apply this fix somehow!

I have my server configured as a DHCP server. Recently I found out that
using a non standard internal IP might be the caused of some of my cacheing

I assume you have it now? Let me know if you still want a copy I recommend
doing urpmi kopete-0.6.2.
I have gone back to the 6.2 version. I have no end of trouble with the
later versions causing sever instability. I suspect maybe its an issue
with some of the plugins on 0.7.1.

I tried that cube game on my PC - graphic were so jerky I could not play it
and this is a high spec machine (well it was a while back!) 2 x PIII 1Ghz,
500mb ram 128mb video card.
