Got my hands on the matrix screensaver.
I put KMatrix.desktop in
/usr/share/applnk/System/ScreenSavers.
Control center does not pick it up until I create the
link in
/usr/share/applnk-mdk-simplified/.hidden/ScreenSavers

I forgot to say that xmms comes up. I load an mp3,
and then it crashes. The mp3 is fine.
If I run just xmms instead of using "soundwrapper" my
mp3 play fine in xmms.
I can just run xmms as is.

I installed Mandrake 10 today and I get the same thing.
My SMTP server requires Auth by plain.
It works in other mailer's except KMail.

Looks like all permissions are fine to me. I still don't see anything in
kmix (just a grey window).

Can someone tell me why the "The Matrix" screensaver is not included with the
xscreensaver rpm from Mandrake?
All I see is the man page? Also most of the screensavers in this package

Has anybody got a joystick to work in Linux Mandrake 8.0?
Just an analog stick. In previous versions I got my joystick to work by
inserting "joystick" in /etc/modules. That doesn't work with lm8.
I can't even find the joystick testing utilities, like jstest, etc ...

OK. I got the .profile to be executed when using su - user, but the
.profile still does not get executed when opening an xterm.
Any ideas...

When using ksh as the shell for a user on Linux-Mandrake 8.0, the .profile
is not executed.
I also tried this:
$ su - test

ksh: /etc/profile.d/mc.sh[12]: export: -f: unknown option

I am having a problem installing 7.2 from the network. It starts to install
packages but I get an error after some time saying: "An error occurred.
Died."
I installed 7.1 this way with no problem. I tried this several times and I
get the same thing error.
Can anybody help?

I am trying to install Mandrake 7.2 from a network install. I installed 7.1
before with no problem through my cable modem.
I get to the installing packages and it goes on to install, but sometime
later I get a error window popup saying "An error occurred. Died".
What can I do? I tried several
a boot disk for installation process.
?? I am I right here? Is there any documentation on how to do this?
