notice when I boot the system the first message I get is that the scanner
SCSI card driver doesn't get loaded, then I get "insmod exited abruptly".
Where should start looking for the problem? It's beginning to look like a
general SCSI problem.

MS Windows -- From the people who brought
99.1 and pilot-link version 9.5. I can't get any
newer versions of these installed without running into lots of dependancy
problems. These versions are from the Mandrake 8.2 CDs, and they installed
fine.

You can get a demo version of DiskKeeper and I'm 99.9% sure it will let
you defrag your disk
for a file I can't find. I just reinstalled 8.1 and all is well
again.
Are other people having these kinds of problems?
Incidentally, the problems I'm having crop up with a clean install as
well as an upgrade from 8.1.
