Was wondering if anyone new how i could set up
my monitor for mandrake. I have tried to custom config to the specs on the
spec sheet my monitor came with, but mandrake doesn't seem to like them. I
have also tried some general driver settings that mandrake offers, but i can not
get better
windows 2000 is not that stable it crashed all the time on my system and was
just a heap of shit. I would rather jsut keep using my linux 7.2 box then
use my windows 2000 box

you don't need a floopy drive
the cd itself will be bootable once you copy the image to a cd. all the
files are there including the bootable files, that is why it is called an
iso image, everything on the cd is in the image. All you need to do is burn

i downloaded the two iso cds from the mandrake site and instlaled them on my
system and it works fine. no hiccups and no problems. everything i wanted
installed and it runs better faster, and picks up more of my hardware then
7.1 ever did.

the other one is the extension cd
it has alot more apps and games and stuff on it in rpms
and is needed to do a complete install if i remember correctly
