Where do you get the pnm2ppa package? I have the same printer and it doesn't work
well at all.

Thanks for all the help! I tried the different things that was suggested
in the failsafe but never could get it fixed. as for trying to type
"linux single" at the LILO, it never gave me a chance. LILO was there
and gone in about 1/10 of a mill-a-sec. I just reinstalled and got it up
and running, a
I just installed Mandrake 7.1 and the install went just fine but I seem
to have messed up on the password part. I tried not using a password
but
it wouldn't let me get around it during installation and I typed part
of
a password and I can't remember exactly what I typed. So X starts up
