Hi!
Well, I'm beginner in Linux and i have begun
with Mandrake and Gnome Graphical enviroment.
I had a Internal Supra and when i read the
problems with Winmodems i decided buy a Mode U.S. Robotics 56K FaxModem External
and now I have the following problems (in Gnome):
To Configure my Modem i did:
1-> DrakConf->System
Configuration-> Miscellaneous Services -> Modem
/dev/ttyS0 checked an detect it and a message dialog appears and said that
detection is O.K. in this port
2->DrakNet->Configure the lan
conection-> Configure a connection throught normal modem
Appears a message dialgo
asking me in wich port is my modem. Logically i click ttyS0/Com 1
i configure my account with PAP
authentification, and when I try to connect to Internet I no listen my
modem.
