Hi
Im having problems displaying my GUI properly. It appears all zoomed and the
screen follows the mouse like some Software for the visually impaired i have
seen before. This started happening when i changed my GPU. Im running mandrake
9.2. Im pretty sure its a software issue, and its not my Mon
to the list.
Any Ideas?

Alternatively, you open Mandrake control centre ('configure your computer' in
the menu)select 'Network and Internet' then near the bottom of the window click
the 'launch the wizard'

my KDE desktop, Konqeror pops up and the /mnt/zip directory is empty.
The strange thing is, I don't have any problems with my CD-ROM drive.

idea to use older RPM when using a more up to date Distro(but it can be done

Thanks, that's what I've been doing but I much prefer the "Copy To/Move To"
feature. What I liked about it was the "Quick Browser" method of navigating
through the directories. Just a matter of personal preference really :-)

I have mandrake 8.2
I installed the kde 3.0.1 RPM's.
Everything was fine.
I have Three 'normal' (not root) users.
One of them has a problem in that when you are in
kmail 1.4, it will not save entries to the
addressbook. It just complains "unable to save
addressbook".
The other Two u

Mandrake 8.1 always detect the 7018 (irq11 shared with usb ports)
The bios is turned with PnP os ON

try man urpm. urpmi is a bit like apt-get for Debian, it will install your
application and any dependancies as well. I think all rpm tools just tell
you the dependancies, but urpmi will install the for you as well.

for editing it from 'outside' of linux i don't know; there's explore2fs (or sth
like that) which let's you access the linux file system but i'd definitely
*not* use that to fiddle with my linx configuration.
