. Oddly enough, if
I log in as root, they play fine. Then if I relogin under my normal account,
they play. I'm suspecting some initialization problem in the GNOME sound
server. Ideas here also? FYI, I'm not running EsounD... that's a whole other set
of problems.
Any commments are
nly a 2.1g HD! Is there anything I can do,
save this? This looks like it might be a problem that'll pop up even after I
get things running, if I ever do.

So there it is. Obviously, if I could somehow drop into a command line and
manually run the command(s) by myself, things would be peachy. But there's
no way to drop to a command line... Grr...
