I am having a problem trying to dial out using my modem and KPPP. When I hit
connect it says "Modem Ready". Then after a couple seconds it says "Sorry.
The modem does not respond." My modem is an ISA PnP modem on TTYS02 at irq4.
It is not a winmodem.

dialing with minicom did not work. It ran through the whole 45 second
connection limit 3 times and did not do anything before I canceled it. Please

I was ont being a racist at all. I just was wondering why he wrote it in
spanish when it was hard to figure out what he was saying. It wasnt really

It sure is. Right now I am running a TNT and it works great with the SVGA
server. When Xfree86 version 4 comes out, the TNT and TNT2 are supposed to
have full 3D acceleration also.
Why would you get a Voodoo3 card just for the emulator? Anyway, right now I
am running a TNT and it works just as good as with the voodoo2 with the
gl2ideC wrapper. But with normal games, the TNT2 is much better than the V3.
The V3 is more like a Banshee2 with no 32 bit color support and no REA
Buy a TNT2 Ultra instead...it is alot better. An it is definately supported.

How do i mount a mac floppy disk? Wahat do I put in place of "vfat" or
"default" when mounting a mac disk? Do I need to recompile the kernel? I am
using 2.2.1.

I just installed Mandrake on another computer and now when i try to mount my
windows partition using:
mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /dos
it tells me vfat isnt supported by the kernel. msdos doesnt work either. What

PS With the problem I was having with the video before, all you have to do is
install the newest X11 update, version 3.3.3.1. Mandrake comes with 3.3.2, I
believe. Anyway, that fixed the problem. I'
I have Linux Mandrake 5.2 and installed it the other day. It works great,
except for X Windows and KDE, which was the main reason I installed it. It
seems like I configured it correctly but X isn't letting me get better than
320x200 with 8 bit color! The KDE Taskbar takes up half the screen! Help!
