[newbie] strange problem with sxga laptop screen and xf86 4.2.0

My screen is 15' sxga. Finally got x working this sunday but since then I've been trying to fix this small problem with it but no luck at all after 2 days so please help! =) I get a half inch thick black line on right hand side of the screen. Basically x isn't using all of the screen's width. T

Hi,   I bought a new laptop this week (myfirst) and installed mandrake 8.2 on it.  My netgear 401 wireless card is hot swappable so when I unplug/plug it in, I get a couple messages from cardmgr on console listing the manufacturer and model of the card..  but when I cat /var/lib/pcmcia/st
