I have been reading a lot about setting up Linux to be a proxy server for
broadband service to a network of computers. I am trying to set up an home
network system.

What I am wondering is: what is the minimum hardware requirement to run a
Linux proxy server? DO I need a Pentium class machine or will an old 486
work? Will an older/slower powered machine affect the braodband access speed?

        Doug.......
