Seems to me I once got a mov file to play in Netscape. It didn't have any
playback controls (just a box centered within the working area), but it
worked (don't remember if it had sound or not -- was having soundcard
troubles at the time). This was using the PeanutLinux distr
've backed up pretty
much everything, but I'd still prefer not to lose anything if I can help it.
If something does happen, I guess it's not a really big deal. I'm planning
on reformatting and reinstalling win anyway -- 'just don't want to do it
now.

Be sure that you are not using a VIA chipset. On certain version of the
VIA chipset it hangs wave files. Even with the latest drivers for the
system board. Just some input on this..

As the subject says, it's an ISA card, using the ne2k module. io and irq
are correct, as it detects the card and gives the correct MAC address.

I'm new to linux in general...
I've had 7.0 for a wile now.. and it worked perfect for me..
I was happy when 7.1 came out
But when I tried installing it I got in to problems..
In the beginning of the install.. I have mouse and keyboard control (
USB both )
When the install tried
st of my hardware, there is no plus sign next to Network
Interface device etc.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated,
since the NIC's are the most important part of me using Linux in the first
place!

But don't let that discourage you from linux too much, I think RedHat or
others will work fine. Just remember it's not really a pentium, and you
can't do everything a pentium will.
