What command are you using to install? You have to copy the
tar.gz to /tmp or somewhere, then # tar xzvf
filename.tar.gz. IIRC there is an install script in the
directory that the tar command creates.

suggest changing the filesystem type from "auto" to
"iso9660". Then with the command $ mount /mnt/cdrom it
should work.
