Thanks everyone for helping me out. I did finally figure it out and now have
it fixed. The problem was an interaction between a disk caching module,
proxy module and compression that is supported from within Mozilla browsers.
I have disabled all Apache level caching and the problem is gone.

Bryan,
I know absolutely nothing about this. Thought that you may like the
information that I use Netscape 7.1 on a Win98 system and have the same
result as you describe.

Dear All
I installed KDE 3.2.3 and, afterwards, I installed back KDE 3.2.
Everything is running fine, except the login manager window that now
is different from the default of Mandrake 10. How can I restore the
default Mandrake 10 login manager window? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

Some wmv files are not played with Totem. Where from could I get the
appropriate pug-in (if it exists) so that Totem can play all wmp
files?
Thanks in advance,
