Hi all, I am using Mandrake 9.0 with a Samsung 232B burner. I cannot make this work. I get various errors that started with "OPC Failure". In my attempts at figuring this out, I think I messed up the permissions. Now I can access the burner as root only. Even in root I get errors. I've tried CLI cdrecord, Gcombust, Gtoaster, X-CDRoast. Following is the latest log from Gcombust as I tried a fast blank of a CD-RW. I tried to blang the CD twice and got different errors?????

This burner works fine under Windows. I *hate* having to boot Windows to burn a disk. Please, someone tell me what might be wrong. I'll worry about the permission problem later, right now I just want the darned thing to work at all. Thanks, Linus
