Looks like you're just unlucky! 8-) On my machine, konqueror and kmail are v.
stable (although, as I said, KDE itself seems pretty flaky). No doubt
there'll be lots of patches in the coming weeks...

Well, all I can say is that, for me, running KDE is a problem (lots of
crashes), but no problem running any of the apps (including konqueror),
outside of it. Did you do an upgrade or a fresh install? I had a lot of
problems when I did an upgrade, fixed by doing a completely clean install.
Yes, run the KDE apps under gnome instead (or gnome running your favourite
window manager). Seems to work fine that way!

maintaining my system rather well, and that my hardware is of good quality (I
made sure to choose each and every component of my computer myself, after
