Ty, a couple of questions:

1) When you did the reinstall, what SCSI driver did you choose?  I know,
silly question, but it's good to double-check.

2) When you boot off the boot disk, can you mount partitions that exist on
the SCSI drive?

3) At what point during the boot process do you receive the kernel panic?

4) Since you didn't reinstall LiLo, is it possible it's not pointing to
the correct partitions (since your partition scheme may have changed)?

I may not be on the right track, but these are the first things I thought
of.  I'm sure someone else may have something else to look at...
