Hi all,

I have been bragging :-) about my athlonXP1800 and KT266A chipset combo
recently,
and I figured I'd try to find out what was necessary to get a kernel that
recognises that chipset (I appear to lose some of the benefit of the chipset
due to my current kernel having no idea what it is.)

So I went looking online, using google searchs and even did tried a search
of the kernel mailing list..

no info I could find could tell me what I needed to do to get this thing
working properly..

Does anyone know what kernel supports this chipset?
apparently the KT266A differes from the KT266 only in the northbridge, all
else is the same..

all the tests show up to a 20% increase in speed over the Sis 735 and the
AMD 760 chipsets, but if the kernel or drivers don't recognise the chipset,,
a fat lot of good that is.. (I can't even boot a 2.2.19 kernel..

any thoughts anyone??

Via have not released any drivers or anything for linux.
