Thanks for your advise. YOU ARE RIGHT !!! I closed the Anti-Virus program as well as other protection programs of the PC before I started to download again from a FTP site. Finally it turned out that the codes (CRC) of the downloaded files were found identical to the codes in the md5sum file downloaded from the FTP site. Your discovery is important to us. Hoping that all guys on the list can read this posting. It will save hours/days and hours/days of tedious working with zero result. B.R.
