yes i share your problems at first i thought mine wasnt but i found an
article that says the chipset is
i finally have both linux and windows running so my next step is trying to
install some special tools that linux desperately needs before it fries my
processor
Hi, Charles or anyone else with any good ideas!
I have read your messages on the list with some interest. I'd given up on
the built-in modem on my laptop, but when I followed your "weekly
instructions" I saw this:
[snip]
Bus 0, device 8, function 0:
Multimedia audio controller: Unknown
Yes, another modem problem. I have 7.1 up and running, but in the
install I think I told it the wrong dev for internet connection. Anyway,
now when I dial up the connection is immediately broken. Error log
says:
"date;time:pppd[1325]:By default the remote system is required to
authenticate itself
When i have linux look for the modem...it says "sorry, the
modem is busy." does this mean i might have a
winmodem?
