I tried mounting my Win2K NTFS partition in Mandrake 7.2 with the line "mount
-t ntfs /dev/hdc2 /mnt/disc". It worked, but only in read-only mode. Write
support for NTFS is only experimental at present and is not in the default
Mandrake 7.2 kernel.

recompiled one of my own and added ntfs support for this reason of mounting
a Win 2K part. I went to Linuxconf and selected "access local drive" then
created a mount point, in my case /min/win_C and then manually entered
