I've noticed that my /dev/modem link dissapperas/reappears at random as well, probably something to do with devfs, which I think dynamically cretates the link on boot. Instead, point your dialler directly to the /dev/ttySx device number for your modem. John. On Wed, 30 Jul 2003 09:45, Grant w
