This may be a bit too simple, but I do
90% of my "surfing" in KFM right there
on the KDE desktop. Don't use Nutscrape
much since about ver. 3.0 or so.
It's gotten much too big and buggy.
But then again I'm not a "power user"
whatever that is. :-)

Does anybody have a solution to this?
Any other recommended browsers?
I hate the extended reboot where the filesystem autofixes itself ...

If you do get stuck in X, you can always do a:
ctrl-alt-backspace and it will usually send you back
to a command prompt.

Hi:
I had this same problem (actualy it happens often). The solution is to telnet
in to the linux box that appeas to be hunk, then
su
ps -e | grep scape
then after obtaining the process id for netscakp, issue a
kill
or
kill -k
After this, things return to normal on my linux box.

Are you sure the system is locked up? Try going into
Task Manager and killing ld-linux.so.2. This seems to
work for me. Netscape sometimes just locks up but the
system still works. (I have so far been unable to lock
the system under any situation.) It seems to happen
on pages with Java but not
Yeah, Netscape is currently a bit shaky with Linux (at
least as far as I know). Here is a site that just
might help you out though:
