Few simple questions: 1) My sound card (CMI8330 blt into motherboard) is not working properly. How do i correct this? I tried using /etc/sbin/sndconfig but I get an error and says there some kind of conflict. Also how do I change the bass/treble setting? 2) How do I enable backspace? I tried stty erase but it doesn't work.. (it says parameters are missing) 3) how do i enable tab auto indent in emacs? 4) how do I enable files like "Makefile" that have compilation and linking instructions to be executed?
