Thanks! I forgot about sndconfig, didn't even have it installed. You know, this is the first time I've successfully heard Linus' voice via the program? I remember my first try at Linux, Linus refused to speak, and ever since then, my sound cards have been detected automagically. Thanks again.

Has anybody tried setting up a Sound Blaster Live PCI card under Mandrake - if so what did you set it up as ?? I stupdily forgot all about my Linux setup and was just thinking about HalfLife when i bought it !! Martin.
