My Xsane when scanning A4 pages has suddenly produced scan strips of 4 inch wide,
instead of the full 8.27 inch wide scan area.
I have checked the preferences and ensured that the scan area sizes are correct.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I need some help here. After upgrading the kernel to 2.4.18-5mdk, my UMAX
Astra 2000p don't work at all. I only get the following message:
