I had similar problem as some other users. Was able to connect to Bellsouth DSL service with just my NIC card, but when I added new Linksys Router, I couldn't get online.
Thanks to users who pointed out that I should set default gateway to the Router's ip address 192.168.1.1 also, I set my PC's IP address to 192.168.1.2 (instead of leaving it at 10.0.0.1 or something) as someone elso suggested. Then plugged in the domain name server IP's. Back online! thanks.
