I share a box with three other people and we are having a murderous time
getting the paths correct. Can anyone explain the secrets of setting up
paths?
The current problem is all of us have the path setup correctly under our
usernames. If we 'su - root' the paths are still correct. However,

another command to do this? I have a directory with _many_ subdirectories,
and need to delete it. Going through and manually emptying and rmdiring

Sounds like your DNS or routing is wrong.
If your straight dialin and use kppp go to the DNS setup tab and put your ISP's DNS
server's IP addresses in there. Make sure you put your domain in the domain box.

Well as you guys know, i slapped Caldera on one of my machines, and I ran
into a problem. Well to make a long story short, i have the solution to the
problem, but dont know how to do it :)
in a terminal window. Install lilo on the MBR of the first drive and add
the /boot/vmlinuz-2.2.5-modular
in console, type "statserial" for each port (cua0,cua1cua2cua3).
these are com 123and 4 in windows. using modemtool from consle will let
you set a link from whatever cua you choose to /dev/modem
so you can select it in Kppp or what ever ppp program you use
also use setserial for changing the i/o

looks fine except the size of the program window, which is way too bigger than
the size of the screen. So i am missing part of the window and i am unable
