I'm using 9.1, but I don't know about the cooker thing.  Actually, I just did a urpmi update and then did an install using the GUI in the Mandrake Control Center and it installed Xine, Mplayer, and Totem perfectly, and they all seem to run like a champ now.  *shrug*  I don't know how or why, bu
