Well,
I have two 586 processors designed to fit in socket 3 which are
unoccupied. Their motherboards went to the boneyard a while ago.

As it currently stands, Mandrake 6.0 is optimized for the Pentium. I
heard rumours of a compilation for i386 but I would suggest you wait
until you hear from somebody from Mandrake on this.

NoMandrake is optimized for Pentium and better. You would be better
served by installing RedHat 6.0, which is 386 and better. Hope this helps.
