If you still cannot connect after you change your DNS settings try this:
I run Wingate Standard 4.3 with Extended Network Service (ENS). The ENS allows
non-wingate client machines to connect to the network. I dual boot my server and my

Firstly thanks for your patience when you receive basically a non Linux
question. However there are a few points to consider. Please don't take this
as an invitation to start a flame war, just an honest personal opinion.
Quite a few people on the Newbie list are ex Windows users trying
this might be a better question to ask on the WinGate support list. as iu
remember (and remember is key here, I have not used wingate in a couple of
years) wingate, it requires a valid hosts file in the c:/ folder. can you
post the contents of that file? can we ask why you want a winders machin

"hosts" file (may/should be in the "c:/" directory) this file identifies the
IP address of the machines attached to the wingate server (and As far as I
remember, the wingate version I used uses tcp/ip) this file should be c

You must config your network (it asks you when installing) with the
appropiate settings (ie: ip addres, gateway, etc) and tell your web browser
on which ip your wingate lives. Also you've got to tell your email client
where to look for mail.

I see. In that case, go to www.wingate.com and poke through their knowledge

3.whatever, I guess you're having trouble
i cant use my linux box as a proxy cuz my modem is unsuported in linux.
