i had the same problem you have rigth now.. but i have 2 HD and with change the IDE cable from the windows (primary master ) to Linux ( secondary slave) and reinstall the problem was fixed... but it sounds like you have only 1 HD .. so you have to move your /boot partition somewhere between th
