There's Star Office (www.stardivision.com) as an office suite (it's
what I use, but it's a bit quirky).
And I have Gnucash (www.gnucash.org ?) which is ok, but I miss M$Money
99.

You could try staroffice..It's an entire office suite for linux. In fact,
if you are familiar with spreadsheets, you could make your own simple check
registry.
