ive heard of the 3.8 and 4.2 and of course the 12 cylinder. but not a 3.2

The electrics are perfect now and I must say the headlight is so bright it
lights up the road for what seems like miles ahead lol I would highly recommend
the enfeild they also do one called an Electra 65 look it up its got the gear
shift on the left like a jap bike and electric start and a bit
so other than the cosmetics, it performed like a real royal enfield of the time?
the one I test drove was the 500cc chrome one with tt pipes on it.
looked kinda silly with all that chrome on a scrambler but then I remembered
the bsa used to make one almost identical to it.

It's a 3200 jag I think I haven't had a good look at it yet the spitfire has a
1500 cc engine I have the head off it to convert it to unleaded petrol as the
old leaded petrol is unavailable now and the additives are not really suitable

that was the most popular im sure you know but the least pretty imo. I think
the spitfire 1 was much better looking.
not to mention the spitfire 1s had about 70 hp from a 1147cc compared to the
sprites 45 hp from a 948 cc engine.

I have owned an Indian built royal Enfield and it was a great bike the build
standard wasn't as good as British Japanese or American bikes particularly the
chrome but it was beautiful to ride

Yes but Tata own landrover now so they have bought a British classic design I
wouldn't drive any of those cars they build they look awful and unsafe I love
triumph cars and jaguar I'm working on a triumph spitfire at the minute my
friend just bought an e type jaguar to retore

here have horrible reps and take up to three years to sell as new by
liquidators so its not surprising to see 'new' three or four year old scooters.

Yes they could have been great cars river kept the name going for a lot of
years but they were just re-badged river cars and not true mg's I do think in a
few years china will have sorted quality control out on the cars they build
some old British cars were beautiful even if they were unreliable

mgs stopped using wooden frames in the early thirties so I doubt wooden frames
had much to do with their failure.
prolly more about the world wanting bigger and bigger cars and they didn't do
that.
you may be thinking about the morgans. though they are still made and still use
the ash frames.
That hot cylinder is probably running lean, that would also explain the poor
idle also valves can make for poor idle. Valve checks usually are in the 10-20K
mile intervals, check your manual it should list it in the maintenance schedule.

I was on the Big Island (Hawaii) this week and got to ride my ST1100. That
bike is just way way too much fun.
The mechanical problem is that one of the cylinders is running 100 degrees
hotter than the other 3. Mechanic's in Hawaii are for the most part
terrible. It's taken me almost 2 years
