Update and clarification, the discussion in #2354 has been deemed
unachievable due to the project being overly bloated and unsupported, so for
the sake of the project's sustainability we need to be clear on the project's
scope and principles, check out #2981.
Per #2981, authentication and authorization are no longer considered part of
the project, you can achieve your goals by overriding oauth2-proxy or otherwise.
Waiting for the next renovation. If you have any questions, feel free to
