Hi Developers, How is the idea of having shared album, i dont see any such things existing on orkut...... The point here is to save resources in areas where duplication is happening - * Normally friends when go out on a trip, have tendency to upload snaps of their trip, this comes into everyone's mind and everyone almost uploads the same kind of snaps. Digital cameras of high resolution being mostly use, each wud be around 1-2 MB. * Help to lower down n/w traffic (might not be much as i am saying :-)) but still saving resources in terms of space utilization. * Common share point for a trip/occasion and also would force and encourage people to discuss and view at same place.
Though with this thought in mind, there could be questions over view access for users across group snaps, it can be well managed with logic.......since you are smart guys, you would be having better ideas but i thought i will share whatever little i can think....... :-) "for the shared album, declare the owner members and allow users who belong to any of the owners to view with whatever rights they have.......whole point is to route everyone to one album instance in the n/w of shared owners".
